Board of Directors
Jason P. Davis
Is the Founder of the Adaptive Martial Arts Association, he began his martial arts studies at Rising Sun Martial Arts in 2010 and currently trains in the Phoenix Martial Arts & Wellness System in Vermont. Davis is a 18 year broadcast veteran, serving as Production Director for Catamount Radio Group in Vermont. He recently departed from Catamount Radio to focus his efforts on the AMAA and other passions. He also serves his town as Emergency Management Director and a member of the Fire Department.
Is a Consulting System Engineer for Cisco Systems. He has a vast knowledge of computers, networking and telecommunications technologies. He also has a passion for the broadcast industry and enjoys exploring new broadcasting and multi-media technologies. Michael served on the board of his sons youth football club before moving to Vermont and assuming his current role with the Adaptive Martial Arts Association.
Is attending Castleton University in Vermont where he is majoring in Business Management and Pre-Law. Perry is a member of the Adaptive Martial Arts Association and former martial arts student. He has served as a youth volunteer with the organization since it was founded in 2011. As result of his academic interest, Perry decided to take on an even greater challenge by joining the Board of Directors in 2018. Along with his duties as Secretary, he is still very active on many other AMAA boards and Committees.
Is the sister of our Founder and being raised with a brother with Cerebral Palsy she has a great understanding of the importance of Disabled Inclusion. She’s employed by Lake Sunapee Bank, who supports the Adaptive Martial Arts Association a great deal. With Terri’s strong background in Finance she is perfect for this position.
Instructors Consulting Team
Is the AMAA's consulting team leader and a 7th Dan, originally from England and began her Martial Arts career there at the age of 14. After moving to the United States in 1984 she continued to train in Shotokan Karate while working as nanny. Over the next 10+ years she traveled America working for such people as Ron Howard (movie director) and Caroline Kennedy (daughter of JFK).
In 1995 she moved to Missouri and became a personal assistant to the CEO/President of Mobilfone Paging, Mobile Radio Communications. Linda started to teach Karate for the YMCA of Kansas City where she taught 3 karate programs in Independence, Raytown and Parkville. She is now the Owner and Chief Instructor of Tamashii Black Belt Academy in Lee Summit.
Linda has worked and trained with some of the best Martial Artist in the world, but finds her greatest accomplishment to be working with children and those special needs in her adaptive classes. She has served on the AMAA consulting team for several years assisting instructors wishing to establish adaptive programs in their schools.
Is a retired NYPD Officer and the owner and senior instructor of Elite Defensive Tactics Martial Arts Academy in Yorktown Heights, NY. He has over 40 years of martial art and 20 years of law enforcement experience.
He holds Dan ranks including Ju Jutsu, Kenpo & Jun Bao Kung Fu. He specialize in both children and adult programs, as well as personal protection, police tactics, and body guard services.
Gary also has a deep interest in adaptive martial arts and as a AMAA consulting team member has assisted instructors with curriculum modification to meet the needs of their adaptive students and contributed countless hours of adaptive training video to our website.
Has over a decade of martial arts experience, holding Shodan ranks inNinpo Ninjutsu, and in Kokusai Jujutsu Renmei.
Devin is the owner of Third Eye Insight in West Islip, NY and adaptive martial artist himself, as an adult Devin was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa and so he understands the challenges presented by vision loss.
He enjoys helping others with disabilities step out of their comfort zone and expand life experiences.
Devin has served as a member of the AMAA consulting team from the beginning and assist instructors and students wishing to learn more both the possibilities adaptive training can offer.
Is the owner and head insturctor at Wolf Judo in Chicago and has been a Judo practitioner for over 30 years, he was a former National Jr. Champion Brett and is now head Sensei for the program. Brett competed for the United States internationally more than ten times and holds the rank of Yodan. He is an international coach for USA Judo and has coached on the Junior Pan American team. Brett is also a certified US Paralympic Judo coach for team USA. As a AMAA consulting team member Brett provides vast knowledge about adaptive competitive martial arts and contributes many student stories and photo to our website.
Is the wife of our Founder and Traffic Manager for Catamount Radio. Katie is also a martial artist and understands the importance of Disabled Inclusion.
Website & Multi-Media Manager
Is a website designer/developer at the University of Kentucky and specializes in website and multi-media management. He is an adaptive martial artist and holds the rank of First Degree Black Belt (Shodan) at Kenpo Karate, LCC in Kentucky. Darrell has served the AMAA for several years assisting with website and multi-media management and is also an Adaptive Martial Arts Association board member.
